Hovercrafts, babies dressed uniformly in one-piece silver suits, anatomically perfect pets, Chia pets, fake grass, hydroponic weed spray. Moving Visions, the latest single from Expensive Looks' Dark Matters record, takes a viewpoint of the future from the perspective of a distant past. Somewhere around the 1980s, back when Recession was a foreign land somewhere near "those bloody commies" and the future looked so bright we definitely needed so highly fashionable wrap-around silver and hot-pink mirrored sunglasses. Unfortunately, the video doesn't follow this lead, instead choosing to draw parallel lines between nature, man-made construction and the sexually exciting exploits of young trumpeters.
