According to some PR spin maneuvers, Fergus "Bored Nothing" Miller emerged from nowhere as a nomad songwriter, dropping off his hand-made cassettes across the countryside, drifting in and out of the dull lives of ordinary folks and leaving them with a disgusting/liberating feeling of Free Spirit Envy. Ordinarily, this kind of smoke n mirrors fluff around an artist's back-story fills us with feelings of queasiness and skepticism. But Fergie's music matches this solitary wanderer lifestyle. Those cunts/legends over at Spunk Recording Pty Ltd obviously felt the same, recently deciding to get on bored with the Miller High Life, compiling the best material from his four previously released cassettes, slapping them together with a handful of new songs and calling it an album.
His self-titled LP will be out on Friday, November 2. You can nab a bunch of Mr Nothing's older stuff over on his Bandcamp and/or see him in the flesh this Friday at World Bar.
