This weekend in Sydney: Flip Out Festival
Ordinarily we save our 'what is happening in Sydney' posts for the final two days of the working week, when the soulless 9-5 has beaten you to a pulp and there is nothing left to look forward to other than putting your feet up and/or getting completely dank-faced at an underground rave party.
BUT this week stuff/shit is a lil' different because The Greatest Music FestivalTM to ever collide with Sydney is happening AND we are (obvs) very excited about it.
Flip Out Festival will take over Manning Bar at Sydney Uni this Saturday, joyously spanning itself over two stages and bringing along it's two friends Capt BBQ and Sir Record Market to help out.
The record market will run from 2pm to 6pm and feature stalls from Mojo Music, Paint it Black, Off The Hip, Repressed, Revolve, Tenzenmen, Stained Circles and Aaright! Records. There will also be a cloak area for storing all of your purchases so you can still 'cut a ruckus' and not be worried that you are going to scratch your limited edition Lime Spiders LP.
As an extra bonus the first 200 bros/hoez/punks to roll through the doors will each receive a FREE limited edition 18-track CD, featuring rare-as-fuck tracks from some of the artists on the bill.
Doors open at around 2ish and tickets are available either via the Manning Bar website or on the door (assuming there are some still available).

Many of the bands are also playing a whole bunch of shows around town before and after the festival. Friday's double Marrickville hitter featuring Pink Reason at Dirty Shirlows and James Arthur's Manhunt at Louie's looks particularly nice. Trawl through the shows section for all the deets.
