Talons need new handbags

Albums don't grow on trees. Even if they did it's not as though small band people (midgets etc) could afford such trees. It's more than likely that someone evil like Mr Major Record Label, Suge Knight or Steve Jobs would buy them all up before most people even realised they had been invented.

Because of the world's lack of Album Trees 'bands' need to pay people to help them record, distribute and then 'market' their handmade musical creations.

Sydney's Talons (third best band on the planet 2007-2014) have reached the point of their musical career and/or adventure where all signs point to them recording a full length release. BUT they need your help (OR more specifically YOUR hard-earning CA$$$$$H) in order to make this happen.

Instead of taking the normal route band's travel down when they need to raise some funds (begging rich friends, becoming sex workers and/or asking a 'record label') the group have decided to organise a super duper fundraising show. The afternoon of kickass-ness will feature performances from some of Sydney's finest bands as well as meat raffles, karaoke contests and possibly even some sort of artistic breakdancing contest.

The event, which has been nicknamed 'Papa Needs A New Handbag', is happening this Sunday (September 7) at Hermanns Bar, Sydney Uni. The action kicks off at 4pm with da hosts with the mosts playing first as a special treat for early birds and/or to get everyone more pumped that 12,000 pairs of Reeboks.

6:30 - Sherlocks Daughter
7:30 - Dead China Doll
8:30 - Further
9:30 - The Holy Soul

YES you are right. That IS the greatest EVER line-up EVER assembled on a Sunday afternoon EVER. In Sydney.

The show will cost just $12 and (as mentioned) all CA$$$H raised on the day will go straight into the 'get Talons to make a kickass album' fund. The band was unresponsive when we asked them if we got our money back IF the album didn't kick ass. We will jump that pony when we get to it.
